I am on the petite side, and have a long torso and shorter legs. How can I style myself to appear taller? Amy, 29, Great Yarmouth
The trick is to try and proportion out your top and bottom half, and make those legs look longer. Firstly, avoid wearing long tops as they will only draw attention towards your longer top half making your legs appear shorter. Try tucking longer tops into jeans, skirts and trousers to break up all the fabric. Skinny or slim fit trousers will give you a more streamlined figure, and opt for high waisted bottoms to create the illusion of longer pins. Team with a cropped or peplum jacket (great for breaking up the body and accentuating legs) for a sassy look. Shorter skirt lengths (with leggings or tights, if you prefer) are also great at lengthening legs.
But if all else fails and you feel like you still need that extra inch, opt for a heel to give you a bit of added confidence. Platforms are a key trend this season, so whether you opt for the shoe boot or a classic court, adding a couple of extra inches to your feet will definitely do the trick.
