A cuppa with Jane, MV’s Design Director

MV’s Design Director, Jane takes us through an average day at MV and what’s she up to at the moment…

With Bear in the garden (weather permitting), having a coffee, and watching the news on my IPad

Milky!

Fitting new samples with Lisa on a model and discussing new colour palettes. When I’m in my Design Studio, I start the day off by checking in with my Assistant Designer; chatting about anything new or cool we’ve seen – ( shops / people/ mags / films), catch up on our favourite blogs and Pinterest boards, then get to work designing. We work on new prints, embroidery or bead patterns and sketching up new ideas, then draping fabrics on the stand to see how they look.

Handfuls of nuts / glasses of water – I’m trying to be healthy for my summer bikini body! I also have many glances out the window onto the lovely green and woodland outside the Design Studio. I speak to Liz and Lisa throughout the day, so I have many telephone chats with them too.

Designing for real women and myself, having a passion for work every day, working with friends (and truly believing in what we do), and being able to balance home and work.

Edgy draped feminine !!!? hard one!

The black appliqué dress with shell lining.

Taking my dog for a walk with my daughter, reading some new mags, and a glass of cold white wine! My guilty pleasure is “Made in Chelsea” on More4!

Check my e- mails, kiss my daughter and partner goodnight, and give Bear a little tickle in her basket.
